Whoa! Several years ago, I set about drawing characters from the Tarot's Major Arcana. The Empress card represents, among other things, fertility and motherhood, the creator and nurturer. So, I drew her in almost exactly what you're wearing, the sort of gown associated with Empress Josephine, and she was pregnant. You look like my drawing come to life! Beautiful!
I totally didn't know you were pregnant! Congratulations to you and your husband and I hope your labor goes safely and smoothly! Looks like they're due any day now, but that could be because they're twins. (I read that in the comments. Sorry if I come off creepy. I really don't mean to...)
Congratulations on expecting. Where there's a will, there's a way. It's admirable how you are truly committed to cos-playing no matter what. I imagine this will make for some awesome maternity photos to share with your kids as they grow up. You've really raised the bar here in this ensemble for cos-playing ladies who find themselves pregnant with the desire to keep on. I mean, wow, when some gals grows up wanting to be a princess, you never know how far they're willing to go.
I love your costumes because to me they never look like costumes, they look like clothes. Like you could see someone during the Regency era wearing this instead of someone from the 21st century dressing up in a Regency costume. In short, I love your costumes because it's clear how much thought and heart you've put into them.
I already said it on LJ, but seriously, you look gorgeous! I actually didn't know (until seeing your images) that the tiara was a popular Regency adornment. Later this year I'm making Rapunzel for an Austenian Disney Princesses group, and now I'm thinking that her crown wouldn't be entirely out of place!
